It’s that time of the year. Fishing gets a little harder and the bite slows off. for me my favourite time to get out the lighter stuff and then fish LRF tactics for pollock.

I have a last-minute plan to fish for Pollock and Wrasse in the Pembroke area tomorrow morning, but have just realised it’s falling tide with a low tide around 11am.

Returning to some sea fishing this year, to accompany my river trout and grayling fishing. With the Forth Coastal permit (Fishing Around The Forth website) it's now possible to fish C&R for coastal seatrout. But interested in float, spin and fly for mackerel, pollock and bass as well!

last few weeks has brought about a massive influx of sandeels here in mid norway.
The steams have been so concentrated that after a mackerel feeding frenzy here in our harbour at Hustadvika we found the bottom littered with dead eels - most likely from shock or oxygen starvation.
