Just moved to the island and decided to get back into sea fishing again after many years away. Used to fish the Kent/Sussex beaches. Looking forward to seeking out a few nice spots on the great southern beaches we have here.
Just wondering if anyone has ever fished the Shoeburyness Garrison East Beach Area as its my local and im beginning sea fishing and just need somewhere easy to fish and practice. Anyone ever had any luck here if so what time of year and where abouts?
Any advice on rig types to would be great :)...
I am new at lure fishing in the UK.
I talked to a few skippers from West Mersea and they told that as the sea is muddy and mostly they fish at shallow muddy water, they do not advice lure fishing.
I talked to the people who teach me the lure fishing, they said I should try different colors...
I'm thinking of having a session on either Clacton or Southend pier tomorrow, has anyone heard of anything coming up from them lately?? do you have to pay for clacton pier? good rigs to use?
