Its been squid fishing mayhem here in the Channel Islands but it’s starting to slow off.

Fished Yarmouth south beach on Saturday night. Arrived around 6ish and used lug,squid and mackeral.
Fish from the off which continued all night with either double whiting or dab on just about every cast.
We kept increasing hook and bait sizes throughout the night to...
Usually I tend to pick the night time to fish off the beach but tomorrow I'm gonna give it a go in the day early morning through till afternoon , got the usual lug and a few other fish baits , any tips anyone could chuck my way regarding bait/distances for tomorrow ?
Been having trouble keeping my bivvy still on the beach lately , do people use extra long tent legs hammered into the sand to keep things still or any other method used ?
