hi all i took a friend fishing to a new :secret: mark. we got there at 2030 and fished till just after 1am high was at 2230 bait was fresh lug
rigs consisted of pennel pullys and flowing traces.
we set up and cast out and i had the first fish about 10 mins later which was a small bass about 12oz this was followed by another about 20 mins later and another one mins later all about the same size then dan had one of about a lb by this time it was high tide and it was 3-1 to me the tide was dropping hard so we decided to fish on and followed it out i then had 2 more after about 40 mins and it was 5-1 but dan had not been fishing for two years so he was pleased with his one then all hell broke loose as dans rod folded over and he had trouble getting it out of the rod rest but he got it out and struck into a good fish so i waded out to were his line was going and the i saw it a called out smoothy then s**t its a BASS as it swam past me it turned its head and looked straight at and then kicked which put it further up towards the water and dan walked back as he saw it and i crouched behind it and followed it then the water dropped back from a wave and the fish was on its side so i grabbed not careing about the spines and gills and carried it up the beach to dan and said thats got to be a double.
we measured it at 70 cm and on the scales it went 12lb 3oz and a new pb for dan hand shakes and a *** followed but no more fish so we gave up and went home

(yes people it went home for dinner as it was his pb his first bass for 2 years and he caught it and was his choice which i surpported sorry to those whom this might offend)
