Hi men and gals
with catch reports fresh in the air it has to be said that a belter of a bass was caught amongst 40lb tope on my old mans boat today...... just over 12 lb was the call.......what a fish pics to follow......things are certantly looking good for the area as my boat experienced 30 odd spurdog averaging 16lb...biggest being 19lb..... with a few tope to boot.

As for the spurs are they here to stay? or just passing through?

Excellent stuff, glad to hear that quality fish are still around in Luce Bay - when you add that to the quality catches that StevieG and his guest crewmen have been boating in Wigtown Bay it tells a story about how good the Solway is fishing at the moment

An absolute belter of a bass that some great fishing:victory: from the sounds of it. I think its amazing how lots of species seem to feed well on the same tides but at different times and equally go off the feed too!

good sesh matty lets hope the spurs are going to become a mainstay of the area havent even bothered coming down this year because of the lack of good reports but usually like to get a couple of seshes in at logan in september so maybe give it a shot. well done all.
