I am looking for a reel mainly for wrasse with soft plastics. And maybe some bass.
My primary reel is a twin power in 3000 but want a 4000 and given myself a 150 budget which I know isn't great. Just wondering what is recommended for bang for buck.
Been looking at bg 4000 was also offered a new vanford 4000 for 150
Just looking for some input.

The daiwa bg 4000 is a huge reel,it will hold over 300yds of 30lb braid,it is alot bigger than equivalant shimano 4000,a bg 3000 has roughly the same capacity line wise as a 4000 stradic

Stretch a bit and get a shimano vanford, or if too much get a nasci. I have a vanford, daiwa bg and penn slammer.
The bg is my least favourite as it doesnt have durability or smothness of the vanford.

Ben I think you've already got the best tool for wrasse with that twin power. £150 or close to might buy you a bg mq but I'd stick with the t.p imho bud
