please no daft posts!! i am a deisel/hydrolic mechanic SO my question is when the reed block is removed from a 2 stroke outboard,are the 6 vanes that are the reeds closed i/e no light or is 1 or 2 reeds open,???? CHRIS P, help!!:g:

I believe closed as its the crankcase induction that opens them. I may be wrong.

Sandhopper's right. Vanes should be closed.
