With stories of rays hitting the beaches it was time to start taking the drive over to the kent coast.

The first night 26th i was on the island looking for my first shore caught ray even tho it was still a bit early, i thought to my self someones got to be first to catch from this venue but unfortunatly it wasnt me. A couple of pin whiting saved me from the blank at this venue.

The 27th last night was a different choice in venue and after a few phone calls Thamesrover was in the van and we was on our way to the north kent coast, we met up with bluestevefish nice to see you again seems like an age since we last had a session. Any way down to it just after high tide i had a slack liner wound in to something heavy on and within 5 minutes i had my first shore caught ray landed on the beach. It wasnt big but it was target species and a long time coming, what made it a bit better was the fact i usually buy rigs as i dont have the time to make them my self but this time i sat down and made up some clipped up running ledgers which worked a treat.

Heres a few pics

Now im off to work like a zombie but it was worth it

Well done Primo Dan just nice to catch a decent size fish but even better when it's the one your targeting. What did it weigh?
I didnt weigh it pete, it wasnt that big my guess would be around the 4 mark

But like you say it wasnt about the size it was the target fish

Well done mate good efforts are worth the result no matter how big. Better to start small rather than a lunker as gives something to aim for. Will be one of many for ya this year, see I can be nice lol
