Only got boat this season had Quicksilver weekender down at portland for 6 years , but have not been out fishing much this year , due to weather and taking family out for trips, hoping to make up for it in new year though.

Hi, the meet is for the whole week but the BBQ is for the 23rd weather permitting and some owners will be there for just the 3 day weekend. However a number of us are there all week. I'll add you to the possible crew space required and then when you have a date (s) in mind let me know and I'm sure one of us will fit you in.

Is this open to anyone ?
I’ve never fished the area, what’s it like, the charts look interesting though.
Is it just an informal thing

Hi, its fairly informal but open to anyone to bring a boat or crew with one of the others. We try to run the BBQ on the Saturday weather permitting.
Launching facilities at the Sea school next to Portland Marina are excellent and the marina will put all visiting WSF boats on the same pontoon as long as you book - sees details earlier on this thread.

Plenty of wrecks, reefs in the area plus the Shambles bank and the Portland race!
