BRADWELL REPORT 8TH AUGUST 2009

Just the three of us (joint owners) out Saturday, late start, just scraped out of the creek at 9am, we did not have a lot of enthusiasm to go very far so we decided to try inshore, to see if anything had moved in. We went East but inside the Gunfleet, and chose a mark in 35 feet of water, which was running faster than Linford Christie, and large rafts of weed were sweeping through at an alarming rate. As we sat in this torrent we could hear the props spinning round unaided by engine power, this did not look or sound good but we hoped things would improve as tide eased off, which at long last it did. We each had two rods out baited with squid, and as the props stopped going round the first of five good Hounds put in an appearance

they were returned quickly, unharmed, then Steve had this

it was followed by four more, all put back to gain weight.

The Mick finished the day with this

We packed it in at high water and came home, but at least we had seen a few fish.
