I think this is a bizarre example and not indicative of anything in particular.

That fish was already dead though lol so what was the point of the video?, weird at best.
Yeah that's how I felt...

Obviously education is key to the survival of our sport - not just with regards to kids though... We all need to be open to education, all of the time.

You only have to fish a river regularly to see how easy it is to decimate fish stocks, there's not an everlasting supply of fish so God knows what state our sea is in, the scientists claim to know but I don't think they know jack squat. It's not just us that need educating in fact I think that we'd be the first to know if something was wrong as we're the ones who actually fish and not the scientists, as they rely on us in the form of, SA2016, SA2017, and so on for part of their information and it'll probably go on and on via us until they realise there's a problem somewhere as with bass.
We all have our part to play and we all need educating every now and then.
Richy
No trawlers were mentioned in this post lol.
Anglers and scientists aren't two necessarily separate entities. I'm a final year marine biology student and most of my lecturers are anglers too. It's quite easy to cultivate an image of "us and them", but it's more complex than that.

I guess this is an extreme case of cabin fever from a lot of us.

I don't know if you noticed but argument threads are outnumbering catch reports 2:1 at the minute!
Yeah, everyone just loves to have their 2 cents innit. Especially when it's on a somewhat anonymous and repercussion free platform (and the irony of this comment is not lost on me).

WELSH-MAN as much as I kind of agree with the sentiment of your posts, I feel like you're borderline spamming now and badgering people into engaging in a discussion they don't particularly want to engage in. Chill, man... It's just a forum.
