I have managed to hook my grandson into sea fishing, he landed a Launce from the boat on his firs trip last year, and a coalie from Methil docks earlier this month. I think he might be "lip hooked" and could still get away, so I told him we will try for Mackerel to-morrow which we will need for bait when the cod season starts.

Does anyone know where we might land a few mackerel anywhere in Scotland to-morrow.

Anywhere in Scotland? They're still about up the far north but it'll be dumb luck if you stumble onto them or not.

I seen big shoal last week on the east coast , have seen them caught at mcduff in November but that was a really mild year

Still getting a few around Macduff, not very plentiful though. Codling a fairly moving in though and I had a first for me, in this area at least at Gamrie last night, a Dogfish

For sure , seen a huge flock of birds working on a shoal yesterday again

Still about in the Moray so I’m told and plenty.
