fished aberavon beach this morning 04:30 to 09:00....low water = 05:21
baits were lug, crab, sandeel and mackerel on a pulley pennel
2 rods.. 1 rod medium to long range with big baits eg double crab, whole side of mackerel etc.... 2nd rod was close to medium range with 3 hook paternost
perfect weather, no wind plus 1 to 2 foot waves(perfect bass)
and my prize for getting up at 3:30 in the night was................................................
not a single bite, zilch, nuttin, sweet fa
i tried everything, small hooks, big hooks, varying distance, different weights, even leaving big rod out for over an hour so it quite a way out
ccouple of guys came down when i was leaving but aberavon always been a low water mark so dunno if they know something i dont(tried hw and never caught )
