Maybe worth replacing the two springs on the mechanism with Akios ones (they are a straight swap) as the Akios ones seem a lot stronger. I'd also periodically replace the mechanism, including the white spool cog as they do get worn over time.
Abu 7000c Ratchet upgrade
As per title, any other way of improving the ratchet, other than a stronger spring, to both
A/ hold the silly thing in place and
B/ so you could possible hear it ?
Drives me mad on the odd times I use them.

If you know a friendly engineer get them to make you one up in alloy on the lathe? or brass make it nice n clicky!
