hi all
i am going to go fishing of the admiralty pier this weekend and was wondering how you are suppost to fish it?
do you drop the line over the edge or cast out to the max?
what is the best bait to use?
what fish will be the most popular to catch of it?
thanks alot

Hi beefcake - I've only fished it once and was advised to do both! Bass run along the edge of the wall and there is a chance of conger. Told to but a large bait in close to the wall. Further out dogfish, smoothound, mackeral, flatfish - so I was told. I only caught mackeral! The ticket fellow has good advice!

It is overcrowded with inexperienced anglers that cannot cast strait - (Albanian refugees fishing for mackerel to sell it later) and feathers fly everywhere - it is dangerous out there.
Half of the time you'll spend sorting out entangled lines with the other anglers.
I gave up going there.
The Hastings pier is much nicer place. I go there now.
