Gopt started on shore pier fishing again but now live in Scotland, Glasgow to be precise. So am looking for advice on places piers to use to get back into it. Am thinking of Gourock down the ocast to Girvan.... Ani ideas, good piers/jetty's that are ok to use?

What about Millport? Any good there?

if working from gourock to girvan then theres portencross pier, ardrossan harbour or over the wall in the harbour, saltcoats harbour, irvine harbour, troons ballast bank, ayr pier/harbour,dunure harbour/several rock marks, turnberry lighthouse then girvan.if your going as far as girvan i would go extra bit further and head to cairnryan coal pier which you can fish b4 the fence or climb the fence and fish on the pier, the coal pier has bits that have collapsed and it has warning on the gates as its dangerous but loads fish it and can be good selection of fish caught from it.
