Hi

im after an alaska 500 cuddy to do some mods to my sheatland 536.
it has got a rather large cabin; and having looked at an alaska it seems that the cuddy would happily fit on it with some minor changes.
is there such things as 'boat breakers' to find one; or has anybody taken the mould off one before?

thanks
zal

hi zal as you can see i think the cuddy is the same as the alaska ,it should fit without too much problem.it will give you much more room. you could get intouch with shetland to see if you could buy a bare cuddy.there are quite a few boat cuddys that are similar that mite be easier to get hold of. i have seen a few for sale on ebay. hope you have luck in finding one.

baz.

That cuddy looks longer than a standard Alaska 500 one. Mine had a canvas back half. Might be worth making up your own so it fits exactly, it would not be too difficult in sheathed foamex board as most of the "shiny" surfaces are windows anyway so there wouldn't be too much filling and sanding to do to get a good finish.
