Serious?, If so my views on Bass may have changed (A bit)

Ubd
Ive used them for conger a few times, just the same as using a Mackeral really.Tope will have a go at them as well as anything else.
Cut them in strips and Whiting whack em up.

If the replies to the original thread (the piece by Steve Coppolo) are the standard of 'sea anglers' that use this forum, then god help the future of our sport. At least Steve is trying to do something about the state of our fishing. If this IS the sort of 'anglers ' that use this site then I for one will no longer bother to sign in to read stupid, p*ss taking remarks. There are other sites used by responsible sea anglers that are more constructive than this one.

I am all for conservation but as far as Bass are concerned there has been more done to conserve than than any other species, to the point that school bass were almost becoming a pest last year. This bodes well for the future. But what must be done for bass and all other species is to enforce the existing laws and rules. It is a sad indictment of this society that people feel that we must take action, create new laws and regulations to make our society better, if all that energy was put into maintaining and enforcing the current regulations then there would be no need to keep on about conservation, it would be automatic. There is on deterant, the law has no teeth!

So what you are saying then is that it is perfectly acceptable to use a Mackeral,Herring,Sand eel etc or too impale and cut up anything else for bait but as soon as the word BASS is used then that becomes something sacred and cannot be used for bait?
The question was asked and I answered.I will treat any species of fish exactly the same as any other. If Steve Copollo is your God and leader and has suddenly become the Ark Angel Gabriel of all things piscatorial then please,be my guest and join him on Anglers Net in the conservation section and leave the real business of angling to the rest of us.As for p*ss taking remarks,if this is what you actually believe then you really couldnt have understood my posts more wrongly.Take a look at what go's on in the real world, not the one of a ''Keyboard Warrior''...Enjoy your new found forums.

Ron, UBD I don't know whether either of you met the man, but Steve Coppolo is a good un and is only trying to improve the lot for everyone. He does go to the Fisheries meetings and does ask the awkward questions that makes em think twice about some of the daft byelaws proposed.

I am easygoing and it doesn't bother me what you think of Steve C but it seems a shame to have this thread trashed on post 2.

At least you read it though

You prove my point with the line "daft byelaws" we do not need all these new byelaws, regulations etc. if the old ones were enforced
