in my experience the east beach is best fished with the tide going out and the west beach is best fished with the tide coming in, but that might just be me.

also heard a couple of people have started catching cod off of the west beach already...but thats third hand so not sure how true it is

Hi there
i fished selsey beach as i was staying at the camp site last weekend. Went out the friday and saturday night and caught nothing at all (just the odd bit of weed).Had two rods on the go using rag and sand eel.Several other guys were fishing with no luck as well.

I had better luck on the charter boat trip (colin) which goes from near the lifeboat station on saturday morning.I had several mackies two bream but other people had a tope, several herring, a garfish, a blond ray and a thorny.
i hope this helps
regards
compo
