<font color='#000000'>Hi all
A group of us are vising Anglesey in mid June and would like to hear any recommendations for 2 days beach / rock fishing. We have mixed skill levels and range in age from 35 - 65 (so no perilous cliff climbing please). Any suggestions as to venues / baits / fish would be appreciated as we would like to have a good fish filled weekend
Thanks in advance

<font color='#000000'>The best place on Anglesey for your party is the rocks at Moelfre. &nbsp;These are flat and accessible, however it gets very busy. &nbsp;Daytime try "silver demons" feathering for Mackerel, Bait Lug or wrag for Flatties. &nbsp;Night Dog Fish, Whiting and Conger.

Directions, park where you can in and around the village, head for the Lifeboat station, turn left on the path in front of the Lifeboat station and you will come to the rocks. Best spot on right hand point cast out to sea rather than towards lifeboat. Good luck. &nbsp;

Yeah bangor pier was fishing quite wel about a month ago for eels, big dabs and plaice, the bass should be about now. Oh and the obvous dogfish.
Crab was the only bait worth taking though. Ragworm just got dogs and everything else got either stripped or just ignored.

For my recommendation, there are 3 great spots, first is point Lynas look on OS map between Moelfre and Amlwch, go to Port Eilian, Up in the car towards the lighthouse, park on the RHS of the track and head over the field to approx GR 483929, here you'll find a safeish fishing platform into very deep water. 50 meter cast, 4 oz lead, no grippers, bait mackerel strip or better frozen sandeel...doggies and pollock reign supreme here. Second is off the rocks at Moelfre GR 517867, same baits could also try lug, good fishing but not as good as the first place.
Final spot is on "the pebbly beach" at penmon point, to the left of the lighthouse
GR638813...can also get bass / makerel here, it's a bit safer footing at this spot also, again deep water close in. Not fished any of this spots for a year, but always had fun. Personal record at point Lynas is 10 in 3 hours ( 8 doggies 2 pollock) ...Enjoy and be safe.

If you are looking to catch a few bass,(not sure why anyone would fish for doggies) 3 good spots around anglsey that 8 of you can fish:-

1/ Penmon point, its a tackle graveyard but its what you have to put up with if you want a biggie, using a rotten bottom will minimise your losses, use either peeler or live sandeel , with rag if you cant get any,( Malcolm,s shop is in the garage forcourt as you enter beumarris) and he sometimes has live eel etc.

2/ the swellies similar to penmon as it also is a tackle graveyard but holds some monster fish.(the swellies is the area between the 2 road bridges over the straits)

3/ molfra ,when you walk down the path past the lifeboat station go a: right, and join the throng feathering for macs or
b:left and walk along the footpath to the top of the hill andTry float fishing at high water with ragworm for some big pollock and a few wrass.

hope this helps,have a great trip,and enjoy. I love the place.

Had a great day today at the first mark. We fished 3 Hrs before Hight tide (10 AM) to Low water on a normal tide ( eg not a neap or spring tide). Had Polock, Mackrel, Balan Rass with Black lug the bate of the day. I tried soft crab, Squid and Mackrel on the bottom in combo and floted but no luck. Did a little spinning with various plugs and simple spinner but again no luck ( probily my skill level with the buggers). Good spot and great directions.

Ps: Noticed new mussle beads at the low water mark, might be worth trying for Cod in winter on the mark.
