After having a couple of good sessions and reading recent reports i had to give it another go. I arrived at the slipway with the wife and daughter at 10.45am expecting it to be busy but it was absolutly packed so fished about 400 yards to the right. Set up first rod whilst the wife was unpacking and setting up shelter (she was not happy with that) but if you dont have a bait in the water you wont catch fish and as it turns out had another pb ray of 11lb on the first cast . All went quiet until an hour before high water and had a little male ray of 5lb 13oz. Rigs for the rays were pulley pennells and for the girls 2 hook flappers. total count for the day 2 rays, 1 doggie 2lb, 6 pin whiting. Baits bluie, sand eels, ragworm and fresh blacks. I am surprised there are not more reports as there must have been at least 30 anglers either side of me. When i can get the stupid phone connected to the pc a photo will follow.

Well done !! as has already been said, it has been good fishing there this year and a lot of PBs coming out.
Was your wife pleased to see the Ray though ??

yes she was Rob ,her mum loves skate. The only problem was she didn't want to use the lovely worms i brought her she wanted my bluie to get her own ray.
