I too have salars book and its fully of useful info and diagrams. A great read for anybody starting out in the boating world.
Hiya, I have Nevilles book too, a really informative piece of writing..and one of the best books on the subject I have ever read...
Amongst my collection, two boat books stand out (apart from Nevilles) as being very easy to read, and written by well informed , experienced boatmen.
They are (1) Dinghy Fishing at Sea by Phil Williams and Brian Douglas, and ,tho its now a bit dated, (2)The Small Boat Skippers handbook by Geoff Lewis.
Hope this all helps some
