I made some mackerel the main ingredient was horse radish source. It's ok but not as good as some I've bought. I may try smoking some this year too but would like a better recipe.
75 ml fresh double cream
45 ml (3 tbsp) mayonnaise
5 ml (1 tbsp) horse radish sauce
225 g (8 oz) smoked mackerel fillets
5 ml (1 tsp) lemon juice
salt, pepper & watercress
Whip cream and mix with mayo and horse radish. Flake mackerel, add to mixture and stir in lemon juice & salt & pepper. Serve with watercress, toast and lemon wedges.
