Aye, it is Southerness lighthouse,
looks a wee bit better now that it's had a coat of paint. Built in 1812 and paid for by Dumfries traders due to the heavy loss of shipping in the treacherous Solway Firth.

Digging a bit deeper into the history of this lighthouse the original was built in 1748, and was later increased to its present height. The light was extinguished in 1936.
