Hi, following the demise of my seven month old propellor does anyone have any idea where I can get a reasonably priced propellor for an Arvor 215 fitted with the VW 100hp engine?

Secondhand would be fine? Dealers price is £500 plus VAT, Hamble Propellors is £476 plus VAT or £393 for an inferior one.

I do not mind paying a reasonable price but object to being robbed!

Taken from their site

"Bronze Eliche Radice propellers are available in two, three or four blade form, together with aluminium sterndrive and saildrive propellers.

Is there not enough left for a prop shop to rebuild your one?

If the prop is eaten by electrolysis there is a good chance that the bronze will not weld. The tips dissolve as they are the thinnest metal but the rest of the bronze will be affected. It can be worth trying if you have a propshop nearby as it may be repairable but don't bank on it.

Thanks guys but it has been to Hamble Propellors who condemed it to death. The dimples are so pronounced some are almost all the way through. The edges of the blades look like they have been nibbled by squirrels!

Give these people a try for a price..http://www.steeldevelopments.co.uk/

They know their stuff, wish i had gone there instead of T.Norris Marine.
I will be taking my prop to Steel Developments at the end of the summer.
