Hi Guys,
Has anyone seen any Mackerel off the shore yet in the Chesil Area ? I know its early, but you never know.

did do a fair bit of spinning at hive beach yesterday, but none were showing yet, always worth a spin as i've seen plaice come up & grab a lure at this time of year.

Don't know about up chesil way but mate came to Mevagissey on his first ever sea fishing trip a couple of weeks ago i was catching pins like a magnet in a sewing kit!! After about 1 1/2 hrs he had a geat scrap with a 1 1/2lb mackie fished hard on the bottom on rag at in the dark!!But i have heard of a few being more caught down our way

I had one yesterday went 1lb 7oz....not too shabby.

Float fished eel at 20feet.
