Had my first session at Arbroath cliffs this week since I was a kid, found a nice spot next to the Deils heed which produced a full house of decent mackerel.

I'm gonna get some rough ground rigs made up in the hope of catching some cod, would anyone be kind enough to divulge any good marks on the cliffs?

I'm no expert fisherman or know the cliffs in any detail, but most of the marks are pretty obvious due to the wee paths worn by anglers going down to them. The real trick is to know the ground and personal discovery is really the only way forward. My advice would be take some walks during daylight on big low tides to map out good looking skeers and holes.

Good luck.
