I see the shop in Arbroath is up for sale, we will soon have no tackle shops left round here. One in Montrose, but mostly shooting stuff and Robbies place on the Kingsway in Dundee and that's it for bait and sea fishing tackle. Maybe someone will take it on.

Sign of the times if its a busy shop then hopefully some person will take it on.The tackle shop where i live is a busy shop and it helps that he sells the permits for the local river and the sea permits for sea trout only downside is parking which makes a huge difference .It must be hard for small shops to survive with rates , heating prices ect ect .

How much are the charging for a permit now mate?
£60 for the river lossie and £10 for a sea ticket for sea trout .The sea ticket is to cover you for either side of the river spey and its quite popular .There has been an increase in the amout of bass caught over the years from the shingle beach as they seem to like the same lures as sea trout .
