yes! try them and see if they work where you fish. particularly good with rag baits, squid or mackeral stip. small oval 'glo' beads are my favourite with silver sequins between them, but try your own combi's too. when ledgering beads often work well on rigs that are moving and when floating the bait will be on the move too. some people swear by 'tiger' striped lures for pollack so why not try a couple of orange and black beads above the hook? they will work well for wrasse too, with yellow being a good colour for them.

First starting using beads for flatties, now every hook snood has beads on it. I get the 2 little uns to choose the colours. You try the first cast with beads and then the second cast without. Any thing is worth a try
