hi drew. if all matches were run on a measuring basis irrespective of size and each fish had to be measured and recorded by a steward he could then ensure the fish was returned safely this would be one way round the problem the matches won on total length of fish, this is done in places , I think it should be universal.

The whole idea of measure and release and fish points systems is that no fish needs to be retained for competition purposes, We need to get away from fish being kept for weighing in as the anti's will have a field day with us, we don't need to give them any more ammo,
