Hi all I have just worked out how to resize pictures on here ( I hope).Fished 2 hours before high tide on Saturday eve and 2 hours down. All fish taken on the flood not a bite after high tide.Fished ungutted lug 3 at a time on a 3.0 on a ledger.Missed some good bites too but hooked 3 bass 53cm 51cm and 43cm.Wind was blowing from east on arrival and I saw net flags about half mile out so had some doubts. But first cast had a good rattle then about 10 yards of slack line resulting in the 53cm after a good scrap.I had been eyeing up this spot from my window for a while its a big T shaped rock sea defence which I will be fishing again.I am no photographer as you will see from my pics.Best days fishing this year for me:clap2::clap2:

I think I fished that mark awhile ago, in fact when we had the total moon eclipse, I was suprised to say the least with what I caught, but a strange thing happened to me whilst fishing there, I fished it on the flood from low water up caught small Bass and Codling all the way, until we reached the shingle, then nothing, very strange, unless of course some monsters come out at that time.
I might have another go soon, I have been to Winchelsea on the last two trips and have caught plenty of schoolies all under 2lbs, I am sure bigger ones will come from there.

I have been wandering what effect those new rock defences would have on fishing, once they settled in. From up on the hill you can see the effect they have had on the beach.

Congratulations on the catch, I am very envious.

I have been thinking about your trip, were you fishing into the corner of the T, if so which side were you fishing (east?). I wander wether it would have been worth while swapping sides after the turn of the tide?

Hi Steve was fishing the west side most of the time.I got very lucky with one bass caught on the east side as it crossed the the defences in about a foot of water but that made it easier to land in the end.Think swapping sides might be the thing to do when the tide turns.

This one went just over seven pounds at 67cm my pb.The surf made it a bit awkward to land them last night and lost a possible double on the last wave.:)
