naa just joking, I have been very lucky to have caught A 10lb and 5lb bass, does 45cm equate to about 5lb in weight and about 10 years old ?

No...... 45cm equates to between 2-3lb, not sure of the age though. It is quite amazing that alot of commercial inshore fisherman equate 40cm with a 3lb fish which is just not the case.
Actually a 40cm fish is between 1 1/2lb - 2lb.
There's also this one asking for the 40cm limit to be implemented
