i would save up some more and buy a halfway decent rod to begin with - i have a shed full of cheap stuff that i replaced when i could , so really speaking buying cheap works out a hell of a lot more expensive
the rod doesnt matter its how you use it!!!
,y rod is cheap but it works well.
i went for a £50 combo (rod and a fixed spool reel)
you just want to have a look in your local fishing shops or in the sea angler magazine.
