I doubt you'll find anybody that has used a number of these rods and can give an objective opinion of them side by side, unfortuately people can't justify the cost of trying lots of rods. However, from what I've read the Greys GRX do seem to take a bit of beating. I've used a Sandstorm and at first thought it OK. I then used a Zippy and realised what a difference a few hundred quid makes.
Being honest I'd suggest holding on for a decent second hand buy for a Zippy or other 'top end' rod that will last a bit. It's not as nice as having a brand spanking new rod, but it'll serve you better and you will notice the difference!
