Just a quick one as im off to work....
fishing poor (easterly 5-10's), weather 'BRRRRR' :cold:

but on the plus, fire roaring (thanks lads for getting it ready) and company excellent!!

everyone blanked, apart from aptly named 'blankerman' and OHTer...
managing to land a codling of 1-3/4lb (gessdimate) in the last half hour, followed by a weighed 2-1/2lber shortly after.

a really good night, and thanks for the help and support :clap3:

15 squid in OHTers sky rocket, £15 for SARA.

ill be donating it under something like 'just-giving' and a link will be under my siggy sometime this week.

maybe doing a few more around chrimbo hols... good to meet porky, hopefully see you at the next one ;)

tight lines, al.

Donation now pledged, just updating info!!

Thanks for organising it Alan, was a good night, good company, and I hope yr little 'un enjoys the fillets :) Nice to see you and alan again, and to meet Chris n Nige and Porky. Fishing was tough at first, one hell of a tidal rip, combined with lots of weed meant at one stage I had to use a 7 OZ gripper to hold. Eased a little after high water though. Absolutely nothing on the flood, although smiley lost a reasonable fish close in. Started with just gentle 50 yard lobs, but nothing came from that, so reverted to distance on the ebb. Both codling came 1-1.5 hrs after high water, BIG rag/lug cocktails at 100 yards+. Interestingly we had been talking bout circle hooks in the pub beforehand, so decided to try it out on one rig (found down the Knap, lol)out of the four rigs I used that night. Both fish came to the circle hook. So I think I'll be buying some more tomorrow
Again, good night, good company, nice fire, and nice Chinese takeaway after

Oh, and I was made to look silly after my lack of optimism beforehand...., but :)

fate, eye, big stick ;)

looking forward to the next one already! as keeley is to dinner tommorow :)

@steve woods... could do buddy (re; zip-slide) but to be honest make, it was £$%"! horrible last time!!

im gonna see a landlord to find out if i can do a bath of beans (24 hr 2 x 12) over one weekend in their carpark/freehold pub.

SARA (would need to be consulted) but 'may' if asked nicely bring down a dispay cabin and one of the boats... this is all kinda un-official yet, but it would be a good fundairser for them, judging by how much money you managed, and it could also be quite lucrative for the landlord by way of drawing customers in.

i work with a volunteer, and all seems cool so far.

have to have a yap with them both first.

once again, cheers all!!!
