Hi All,

Having spent two fantastic trips in the Beara Peninsula (Republic Ireland) last year (in May and Sept), and experienced the utterly awesome lure fishing out there, I am going again next week (this time with the girlfriend in tow....).

My question is to anyone with any local knowledge is how is the fishing (lure and fly) this time of year (last week of march, 1st week of April)? will the Pollack be out and about, will the wrasse be coming out to play or is it far to early for them?

I love the place but am a little worried that the scrabble board / walking boots will get more of a workout than my lure rod!

Also I have just invested in a Saltwater fly outfit, again, is this time of year just a bit too early?

Love to hear your thoughts!
