Hello all been away for a while but am now well and truly back on it! ;-)
I have spent the last two evenings fishing down in St Leonards and have been very surprised by the amount of fish and the variety!

I have now caught Whiting, pout,Doggies,Bass,Codling,Chanel Whiting and the odd baby flattie!
What the hell is going on?! It is only April and the winter fish seem to have stuck about and the summer fish seem to be coming in shore!

The beach has taken a right battering this winter and has really changed the habitat for the fish, crabs etc!
Goats ledge has mostly been covered up and other rock formations have appeared that were never there before!(mostly out over 200yrds and only seen on a large spring tide on low water) I have at least three new marks I can fish now due to the bad weather! (Thank you)

Next week from the 14th the bigger tides start so I will be fishing all week to see what is going on and what fish are about again! I am really excited this year as the burnt down pier is looking like it is doing the fish good by giving them a untouched nursery! This summer could be the best for a long time fingers crossed!

I will let you all know how I get on next week and if any of you guys wish to join me just give me a shout! xx

I can't say that I'd missed you but welcome back from wherever you have been. (Nothing to do with Her Majesties Pleasure I hope) Thanks for the post, a few more and I might miss you after all!

Bass are still very small but very nice to see loads of little bars of silver about this time of year! The codling were a right mix from what I call diddy's to about 2 and half pound. I am on it all weekend and next week so if sizes improve I will let you know.
