FG knot is the strongest there is.....and Very neat.

 

Yeah, the FG knot is has been a bit of a revalation to me. I also use a bit of a leader between my braid and rig to handline fish over and into the boat

Pr knot is the strongest tested join. These tests were done under fully calibrated conditions by a major game fishing magazine, you can see how the variation of turns can have quite different results on the same knot. One variation of the fg broke bellow 50% which is fine if you are using relatively heavy lines on small less demanding species but if you intend to fish line class to its maximum then I recommend buying a bobbin tool and watch a few YouTube how to videos.

 

Double Uni knot ... works every time

 

It ceratainy does, it's also bulky and reduces line strength, I regularly use it when fishing lines way heavier than target species are used.

 

Mayhin knot never let me down just remember to leave tags about 1/4 to 1/2 inch long as passes through the rings easier and quieter as they are more supple.
