Whats the best way to crimp wire, want to make some short wire traces for tope and wondered the best way to crimp the hook and swivel so there is no chance of the wire pulling through the crimps. Thankyou.
can you describe how to tie the knot? usually id just go down through the crimp, through the hooks eye, back up with the wire and then take the wire back down through the crimp again before crimpin it?
A Haywire twist is only used on single strand wire, it won't work on multistrand.
The most common reason for slipping crimps is using the wrong crimp and the wrong tool, you'll never make a strong connection with round crimps and those nasty crimp tools that have a little pointy bit that pushes the crimp against a cup shaped bit.
