Headed down to hurst shingle on saturday in a local match and i managed to land a 3lb bream, having recently converted from coarse fishing not sure if this is unusual of the shore but the guy next to me was quite exited. Any one else catching bream at the moment?

Nice fish mate,plenty being caught from the boats,i usually try for them at Pagham at beginning of May from the shore. What did u have it on & any others caught?,seems early from the shore,but i may be wrong!!.

Mackerel outfished squid last weekend but normally squid is THE bait from the boats.

I'm excited too - great fish and very early - I've had none at Hurst point the last two weekends and haven't heard of any others from the shore.

May I ask - state of tide, length of cast, roughly which end of the bank ?

If i can bring home some bream in the near future the wife will forgive a lot ...
