hi guys has anyone fished the black pipe or the mouth of the river in rumney this summer i had some big silver eels and some nice flatties down their and it throws the odd bass up now and then. i might have a bash down their next week.

You could fish the mouth of the Rhynney on the tip side or you could fish the black pipe there but on suitable tides you may need very big leads as the tide runs a bit fast out of the river and accross the pipe fish tend to shoal not far from the pipe but it certainly ai't as good as it was for bigger bass or sole, there is the odd bass off there but personally I would avoid fishing on the pipe (stone jetty) this time of year a short move will nmay produce more at this time of year.

cheers STF and thanks for the information i know its not the best venue in the world and it can be hard to catch fish most of the time but its an easy spot of the pipe and i might take my nephew down their cheers nathan.
