Can anyone help me with choosing an insurance policy. I was with craftinsure and may go back to them but I have not hear much about them bad or good? Anyone got any experience or suggestions either way?

Cheers

Below is a copy of my post re Craftinsure under another heading

I am insured with craftinsure and had cause to use their online claim process.

The claim was for a £1200 curved windscreen screen.
I Sent in the application and got the go ahead the same day. It took about 5 weeks for the screen to arrive from abroad and for the local company I had instructed to fit the screen. Phone up craftinsure to see if it was ok for me to scan and forward a copy invoice to them to which they said yes. I did this and their cheque in full settlement arrived two days later.

I have nothing but praise for the courteous and speedy service received from this company. I even sent an email to the MD thanking them for their speedy settlement and I got a very nice reply thanking me for my thanks

Martin
Hope this helps

I have been with Craftinsure for several years but this year their premium was significantly undercut by Premier Calm, a special deal for Premier Marinas berth holders. Worth shopping around still.

Guys thanks for the help.

Morgan Marine £134
Craftinsure £145
Porthcawl £125

All quotes Identical with Porthcawl excess at £100 much cheaper overall - Just hope the service is good should I ever need it?

Thanks

Hi try Jim Bell at Giles Insurance Irvine hes specialises in Marine Insrance. Used him for the last 8 years on all my boats, they paid out £14,000 for my stollen Warrior 165, in just 8 to 10 weeks, no problems. Highly recommended!
