for some reason the water was really dirty,even though sea conditions were fairly calm:g:

Up here (Bude area) there is a large amount of plankon that has appeared over the last 2 weeks. I noticed when we were out on the boat from Padstow. Apparently it's bad for the trawlers cos it can fill their nets. It's dense and brown and gives the appearance of muddy water.
You can see large pockets of it all the way up the coast from Widemouth heading north and it serves to mark out deep gulleys and sand bars. At times when out surfing you get thick soupy patches of it moving around.
I was hoping it might help my Bass fishing and possibly the food chain in general???? :unsure:
