tried an evening session, finished work late, rushed down there and realised i had me tides wrong,oh dear, gave it a shot anyway, had 5 doggies but after getting snagged 3 casts in a row and losing everything, even though i were using rotton bottoms, decided to call it a night.walked back to the car and spoke to the only other angler there, which turned out to be kim...good to see you mate.turns out he had a less snaggy high tide spot, though looking at it today i would'nt fish that spot at low at all.
took a return venture back this afternoon with me boy and missus.the tides were right this time, but the fish did'nt want to play for a while.whilst waiting managed to find the rigs i lost wrapped around a couple of big fat boulders (they were'nt there last time) plus a few extra rigs which was nice.we did eventually catch something,2 big 3 bearded rocklings (about 14-15 inches long),a doggie and a codling.
for some reason the water was really dirty, even though sea conditions were fairly calm:g:

Fish up by hurlestone not snaggy as long as you are about 70 yards back very deep water their no snags fished it on thursday had 38 doggies codling and a strap

cheers mate.thought it was supposed to be a bit of a tackle graveyard up there,so did'nt try there.fished about 200m from car park towards hurlstone.did notice that in front of car park was quite clean for fishing high water, but looked like it could be a nightmare at low:)

Tight! Driven all the way back down there just to get a few rigs back.:uhuh: :uhuh: :uhuh:

Nice one mate, at least you managed to catch.:)

was a bit quieter in the daytime, even though the coloured water and conditions looked ok.:g:
packed the night one in cos a rig got snagged with a fish on,and tbh i don't like to leave hooked fish on snags:uhuh: .but could have had more if i had realised that 100m to the left was much clearer:g:
armed meself with some more info yesterday after a little walk around,so hopefully will be able to fish it anytime without losing too much kit:)

Good to hear that the hard work pays off. Now I just need to reap the benefits.:) :) :) :)

typical accountant.let others do hard work and then draw the benefits afterwards:bleh:
better not tell you to use 20lb+ line and rotton bottoms then.though sometimes r b's are'nt necessary:blink: :g:  :)
