Hi lads thinking of launching the new boat at Brighouse Bay at the weekend, is there much about at the moment, and what species should i be looking to target around this part of the coast as it will be my first time fishing in this area ?

Hopefully mackerel will be in, pollack inshore, usually quite a few nice huss and of course the ever obliging doggies. Others that may be encountered, cod, smoothies and tope. When you book in to use the slip, there should be a chart of the near area, from Torrs point to the Isles of Fleet, be very aware of the halftide rock, which is well out to sea but covers a half tide, used to have a marker on it but do not think that is the case now.
