Hi.

Fished the marina 13:00 to 18:00 east arm bay 14. This was reasonably sheltered from the south westerlies, though some brave folks risked further round the bend and no doubt warrented the soaking from the spray of the waves. Fished 2 rods. One with a 3/0 1/0 pennel with lug/rag which resulted in 1 schoolie bass. The other was a 1 up / 1 down with size 1 and mainly lug. This resulted in 1 plaice, 3 starfish and a crab. Not a brilliant return considering the initial hassle of negotiating the A27 roadworks at lancing - but had a good chat to a fellow sufferer. I also saw caught 4 tub gurnards, 1 sole, 1 pout and 1 weaver and heard of a 3 1/2 lb bass caught earlier on the east. Weed was not a problem.

Cheers Neil

Hello neil,

It's Colin here!, the poor damp bugger that swam down from bay 43!!!
What a day that was, normally a good venue but with a southwesterly blowing, as you saw it was hard work!!
Strange after that blow all week and not a lot off weed, not that I'm complaining :nonono:
Was good to see that there was still a few flatties about, as long as I didn't blank then it's never a bad day, and it did seem I was fishing next to a starfish specialist hunter. :notworthy
Nice to meet you Neil, give us a shout when your down again!
