off down to Brixham next week for a few days rnr would like to have a go on breakwater just some light tackle any advice on this would be gratefully received

Float fishing should get you some wrasse or there is a chance of mackerel/herring on the spinning gear although they aren't thick on the ground just yet. Heavier fishing should produce conger at night, rocking and dogfish. I did see a couple of bass cruising round the marina two days ago so it may be worth a shout float fishing a live prawn if you can find any. If you do any lrf fishing there are plenty of mini species to be had including scorpions, gobies and pollack it's also a fun way to target the wrasse.
