My Daiwa Porky Pig heavy feeder rod has died and I want to replace it with something similar.

What's the equivalent rod these days? I'm sure the mullet lovers on here should be able to help me out.

Ive got a daiwa twilight specialist rod.....it comes with 2 tips, one is a fixed quivertip and another tip with a 1.5lb test curve.

The quiver tip is fine for mulleting and the other tip can be used for a bit of light float fishin for gars, mackies etc

It has a cork handle as well which looks good and its a lovely rod to play fish on.

just type it in on google and check it out

hope that helps

Thanks for the replies guys, I used my PP for floatfishing for bass and sole fishing etc.

I've been looking at the shimano range too, but it's difficult when you don't know much about freshwater gear.

When it comes to sea gear I don't have a problem.

Great rods the Porky Pigs. I used to have the old fashioned one till some bugger nicked it. I replaced it with a mid 90's quiver version, it's still going strong but unfortunately I don't really use it anymore.
It's been relegated by the Daiwa Powermesh Barbel rod which came out 5 or 6 years ago.
It's a twin tip with a test curve of 1.5, so you get the best of both worlds.
I can't rate the rod highly enough. It's got a beautiful through action and a surprising amount of beef, which is especially good for Mulleting and at 12ft is just about the right length. It also has quite a few eyes which helps with mending the line when float fishing and it'll lob 2oz's maybe 2.5 if you're careful.
Pretty tricky to get hold of as people tend to keep hold of them but you might able to get one of ebay for 50 or 60, think mine was about 140 new.
Ace rods.
