Loads of work done over the last few days on the west. Contract work has meant a focus on the higher pegs... but they are getting done.

jet washing to remove algae is one part
pot hole repairs have to be done on dry dates.
posts & wires to replace both walls
All this to be done around the contracted work on both walls

so where are we at ?

west
bay 12 to toilet block both levels have been fully jet sprayed to remove algae
There are cracks & pot holes that need filling & forecasts show a few days of wet that will re schedule work onto other things.

the focus now turns to the lower pegs, first jet washing & then hole filling

The contractors on the west have been great in allowing us to work around them & the west wall is shaping up... we are getting there & an announcement re opening it partially or fully could be within a week.(contract guys have last say).

re east
still 1-22 daytime only for now.
Dave is browbeating the firm on the east to get access past them once the west is sorted

this week the west is the focus
with luck after we can have access to the east higher numbers to get it in shape.

Had hoped to be making this post last week re progress but things took an unexpected twist when the jet washers motor frizzed itself and conked out. The result , things came to a crashing halt.
Hole repairs delayed 1st by rain then by the fact that said holes were loaded with the marinas special algae carpet!.
On the upside , we have 2, yes 2 machines arriving today with the targets of completing the lower pegs on the west & some of the west extension.
Contract work on the east will be using the water supply for a few days but once that is done we will begin the haul up the east wall.

Dave is aiming to get at least 1-12 on the west open to the public by or before Saturday. above that will be determined by the contractors needs.

We don't have a timeline for the east yet.I'm not sure if it will be a rolling opening on the lower level, done in sections or a wait until the work is done full length. The marina have the final say with regard to public safety issues & contract work that is still ongoing.

On a previous thread you wrote this about Shoreham west arm

"I wouldnt use west arm mate. Charging to fish is pathetic."
