Far too early yet guys, it's only May
Kind of agree (although delighted to be proved wrong). Was at North Berwick last Sunday and the Gannets were diving within casting distance and no sign of any mackies. Still though - not long now.....

....until the rocks and piers are crowded by idiots, beachcasters, 7oz leads, 12 hook traces, tangled lines, snap offs, bags of dead fish, litter....

....and we all still love mackie season

Ah the mackerel- I have mixed feelings on the mackie season, on the one hand they provide great sport on light gear and are a top bait for most species. On the other hand they attract some of the most idiotic a-holes to grace our shores. Great species for the kids and novices to break into, but why o why do neds and bloob bloobs (people with no common sense) feel the need to ruin a good nights fishing.
It beats me, but thats a part of fishing we have to live with i suppose....

Ok- rant over (bad day and all that):uhuh: :uhuh:
